We began working with Rob Moore and the Center for Wealth Management over 20 years ago, when I changed jobs and did a rollover; I invested 50% with Rob and 50% with another firm. Over the three-year review, the expenses with Rob were much less.
Rob has done a great job creating a well-designed retirement plan, helping us save for kids’ college, and strategizing to find the right mix of investments aligned to our risk tolerance, while keeping it diverse and minimizing expenses. Rob has in-depth knowledge of the market and projects honesty and fair balance in the information he shares. He’s dedicated to continued growth and learning, proactive in reaching out, a strong communicator, and a caring family man. Anytime someone we know is looking for a trusted financial advisor, we recommend Rob; my parents, our children and their spouses, and some work colleagues have all partnered with CWM. I can state with confidence that all have been impressed by his knowledge and professionalism and pleased with the investment advice provided in a timely manner.
The most important benefit from working with Rob is the ability to gain information on a wide variety of financial products and stay up to date on market changes, my taxes, and avenues best suited for my investment goals (both short term and long term). We are blessed to be able to go into retirement with peace and comfort knowing we have the means to leave a legacy to our family and charities we support. We are grateful for the coaching and insights Rob and CWM shared with us to make this possible. We trust that they are working with us and for us.

I’m currently 69 and have partnered with a financial advisor since age 22. I have been a client of Center for Wealth Management (CWM) since its beginning, about 20 years ago, after a co-worker, whom I respected for his investment knowledge, recommended the firm. Prior to signing on with CWM, my turnover rate for advisors was quite high. I think I fired at least seven advisors due to investment methodology conflicts, pushy sales tactics, and ethics disagreements that created stress in my life.
In 2001, at age 47, my company unexpectedly offered me a buyout. I almost didn’t accept it. But the Firm helped me realize I would be all right financially and come to the decision to accept the offer. I’m so glad I did. I’ve really enjoyed my retirement and have taken the time to care for my mom and husband, who have both since passed away, and to enter a fulfilling volunteer alternative medicine school, with infinite lifelong learning opportunities.
Justin is ethical and trustworthy; CWM is not a hard-selling, fast-talking sales operation out to churn investments for personal financial gain. I’ve recommended CWM to many friends over the years, most of whom have become clients! I greatly value the financial peace our partnership has given me during the many stock market downturns and the confidence that the firm will always be available for me.

I decided to seek the assistance of a financial advisor around 2015. I had always felt pretty comfortable with my own investing and had done fairly well over the years, but I had reached the age where I began to think about my ability to retire in the next 10 years. Rob Moore and Jeff Steele offered a series of retirement sessions at DTE Energy, and I signed up to see what I might learn that would help me in my retirement planning. After attending the course, I took them up on their offer for a free consultation.
I chose to work with Rob because his personal values and family values meshed well with mine. Rob was not pushy in his approach; he explained what he was proposing and why he wanted to take that action. He very clearly explained what his proposals meant for me as well as what was in it for him. This was the first time I’d met a financial advisor that was not entirely focused on what they were getting out of the arrangement. My trust in Rob as well as his personal values led directly to me transferring the balance of my 401(k) from a former employer to his management. Rob was instrumental in several transactions, including transferring the entirety of the after-tax balance (contributions only) of my 401(k) to a Roth IRA. Having my retirement future in a stable portfolio with CWM provides confidence and peace.
I have recommended Rob to a number of friends and coworkers, several of which now work with Rob for their retirement planning. I simply share that Rob is 100% trustworthy, a family man with great values, has no ulterior motives, and provides value and comfort in the difficult process of planning for the future.
The best part of working with Rob would be the financial peace. As I previously indicated, I have a significant number of years of experience in doing my own investing, and two minds are better than one; no single person can know everything or be aware of everything. We discuss all changes and only move forward if I am comfortable—which happens 99% of the time. I am confident that my future is in good hands and appreciate the personal relationship and sincere support I get from collaborating with Rob and CWM.

About three years prior to my actual retirement date, Jeff Steele and his partner were presenting a series of lectures on personal finance and retirement planning at my employer. After attending several presentations, I decided there were many aspects of retirement planning I needed some advice on—and Googling “How to retire financially secure” wasn’t doing the trick.
There are a dizzying number of companies/services/products in the wild, wild West of the Internet and marketplace, each promising high-return, low-risk results. I have a difficult time trusting people, especially if it involves my life savings and decisions that could impact my lifestyle and family for years to come. My employer trusted Jeff to give the lectures internally to our company, but that wasn’t enough. I looked around for an honest endorsement from personal connections of mine that had engaged Jeff’s services. I found several. I initially contacted another major financial firm, but got more pressure to
invest in their products than personal advice for my situation. Jeff, on the other hand, explains a risk, its potential impact, and a solution to mitigate that risk, leaving the choice up to me with very little pressure. Jeff and his firm have software tools that help me (a compulsive analytical person) track my investments, perform “what-if” scenarios, and execute tax reviews quickly and from the comfort of my home.
Relatively speaking, saving for retirement was the easy part; drawing it out in a logical and tax-efficient manner was another. Jeff spelled out the tax implications of each scenario as he drew up a plan for me to follow. An additional element I hadn’t considered was estate planning. He referred me to a colleague that was extremely helpful in understanding the best options for will/trust/survivor-type agreements.
Jeff and the team at Center for Wealth Management know my wife and me personally. It’s not one of those 1-800-type numbers where when you call, you’re an account number that someone must look up to know who you are. We have a few “touchpoints” throughout a calendar year to update each other on status,
topics, etc., and adjust accordingly. They even raise topics before I ask. The most recent example, my wife approaching the age to begin drawing Social Security; Jeff explained the pros and cons of the decision and left it entirely to me. I have recommended Jeff’s services to everyone I speak to that has questions on financial planning.

When we started our family, both of us with full incomes, we sought the assistance of a financial advisor. Then once we knew we needed a Special Needs Trust for our daughter, we sought out estate planning and financial services. Jeff Steele reached out to the special-needs community by giving a seminar, and we have been with him ever since (over 23 years).
Jeff was there for us as our go-to in helping us find an estate attorney, and they worked together to make sure our trust was funded appropriately. At the time, Jeff was working with a life insurance company, but his CFP® experience gave us more than just life insurance: he helped manage our portfolio in a way that met our financial goals for the long run.
Jeff has partnered with us on many important issues: balancing three tuition payments, retirement savings, effective retirement planning, inheritance of IRAs and managing RMDs, and finding outside advisors for estate planning and CPA services.
We often recommend Jeff, sharing how he is steady, a good listener, gives good advice, and manages for the long run. We are pleased with our outcomes, receiving education and benefits from his array of tools that help us understand financial and wealth management services. Those who we know that work with Jeff have also been pleased with his services.
We are so thankful to have financial confidence as we head to retirement!

My husband and I met Justin Williamson when my husband's employer offered a meeting with financial advisors from the firm Justin was working for at the time. We were very impressed with him and his approach to help us meet our retirement goals. We have been able to successfully put our children through college and navigate some financial crazy times with Justin's help. I am happy to say that we have been clients of Justin's for about nine years, and we have recommended him to numerous people over the years, including our children. We are now happily in retirement and looking forward to continuing our relationship with Justin.
